AUTOMATIC CONFIGURATION

The DGS-1210 series supports automatic voice VLAN and Surveillance Mode, which allow voice and video traffic to be automatically identified and treated differently from regular network traffic. VLAN Automatic Voice detects Voice over IP (VoIP) traffic and automatically targets it from the rest of the network, increasing security and allowing Service Quality (QoS) to be applied. Surveillance Mode detects compatible ONVIF cameras and puts them in a surveillance VLAN, allowing a single switch to be used for voice, video and data, eliminating the need for dedicated hardware and reducing maintenance costs. Surveillance Mode also includes your own web interface, making surveillance features easily accessible and simplifying the management of your surveillance network.

SAFETY CHARACTERISTICS

The Innovative Safeguard Motor D-Link helps protect switches from traffic floods and virus attacks. Port-based 802.11X authentication allows the network to be authenticated via external RADIUS servers. In addition, Access Control List (ACL) functionality enhances network security and helps protect the internal IT network.

EXTENSIVE MANAGEMENT CARACTERISTICS AND LAYER 2

The DGS-1210 series comes equipped with a full line of L2 features, including IGMP whistleblow, door mirroring, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), and Connection Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP). The IEEE 802.3x Flow Control function allows servers to connect directly to the switch for fast and reliable data transfers. The series also supports advanced features such as static routing, which allows communication between different user groups in different VLAN segments of a network. The switch can directly treat inter VLAN forwarding using multiple interfaces, making the network work faster and more efficiently. And, as switches can manage internal routing, the network router can be assigned to only handle external traffic forwarding.
