The D-Link GO-SW-8G 8-port Gigabit Easy Desktop Switch creates an extremely fast network for your office, as Gigabit Ethernet ports provide high-speed wired connections for up to eight PCs or other devices. GO-SW-8G also features QoS, which prioritizes network traffic so that time-sensitive data is delivered efficiently, even during high data traffic peaks. The 8-port Gigabit Easy Desktop switch helps to automatically save energy using a variety of methods. The switch supports IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet (EEE), which reduces power consumption during periods of low data activity and continues to put the unused port in hibernate mode, saving a substantial amount of energy. It also adjusts the amount of power delivered to a port according to the length of the connected Ethernet cable.
