The D - Link DGS - 1005P 5-port Desktop Gigabit PoE + switch allows you to connect Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices, such as wireless access points (APs), network video cameras and IP phones to the network. Built with home and small business users in mind, the DGS-1005P is compact and operates quietly, making it ideal for most rooms and offices.

Gigabit performance.

The DGS-1005P is plug-and-play and requires no configuration.
Automatic MDI / MDI-X support on all ports eliminates the need for crossover cables when connecting to another switch, and negotiation automatic on each port intelligently adjusts the port speed for compatibility with the connected device. With wire-speed filter and store-and-forward switching, the DGS-1005P maximizes network performance while minimizing the transmission of bad network packets.

Power over Ethernet +

The DGS-1005P has four Gigabit Ethernet ports that support IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at PoE, provides up to 30 W on each PoE port and provides a total power budget of 60 W.
Can connect compatible equipment to the DGS-1005P without using an additional power supply.

Green technology

The DGS-1005P features green technology like IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet (EEE), link status detection and cable length detection.
The EEE adjusts the switch's power consumption based on network use, reducing energy use during periods of inactivity. Detecting link status turns off unused ports, saving energy when connected devices are turned off or off. Cable length detection adjusts the power output of the port based on the cable length, reducing the power requirements of the switch.
