About the Ubiquiti Next Generation Gateway Lite Router

Ubiquiti UniFi Gateway

The Ubiquiti UXG Lite is a compact router/gateway designed for small businesses and SMEs. The device is equipped with 1x GbE WAN port and 1x GbE LAN port. On the LAN port, you can connect, for example, a UniFi access point, allowing the router to indirectly support WiFi. The maximum throughput of the UXG Lite is impressive, reaching 1 Gbps. This is a significant improvement over its predecessor, the USG, which has a maximum transfer speed of only 85 Mbps with IDS/IPS. If you wish to integrate the device into your UniFi environment, a Ubiquiti Cloud Key needs to be purchased separately, available here.

Advanced Security Options

Thanks to the built-in firewall of the UXG Lite, the device offers advanced security options to protect your network against online threats. With content, country, domain, and ad filtering, it's possible to block unsafe content. Additionally, this router and gateway support IPS/IDS threat detection. By applying VLAN, the network can be divided for various applications.

VPN Options

The UXG Lite also allows for a VPN connection between two networks, enabling, for example, a secure connection between a remote worker and the company's network. The UXG Lite supports OpenVPN and IPsec site-to-site VPNs.
