Finding the lost keys is no longer a problem. Just follow the sound of the AirTag's built-in speaker to locate lost objects under the sofa, in the next room, or anywhere else.
If the AirTag is nearby, your iPhone will show you the way with the exact location. AirTag uses ultra-wideband technology to show the precise distance and direction.
Did you forget something on the beach or in the gym? The Find network, made up of millions of iPhone, iPad and Mac devices worldwide, helps you locate your AirTag. And it's designed to protect your privacy, every step of the way.
Your AirTag sends a secure Bluetooth signal that can be detected by devices on the Find network that are nearby. These devices send the location of the AirTag to iCloud. You just need to open the Find app and see the lost object on the map. The entire process is anonymous, encrypted to protect your privacy and is so efficient that you don't have to worry about battery life or data usage.
You can put AirTag in Lost mode to receive an automatic notification as soon as it is detected over the network, as with other Apple devices. Or set up AirTag to share your contact details with those who find it. The person only needs to touch it with a smartphone with NFC technology, the same one that allows payments with mobile phone.
The location of the AirTag is only known to you and the information and history are not saved. Devices that communicate their position also remain anonymous and the data is fully encrypted. Nor does Apple know where your AirTag is or the identity of the device that helps you find it.
Just one touch to set up the connection to your iPhone or iPad. Then it's simple, choose a name for the AirTag and place it on the object you don't want to miss. And you can also receive AirTag notifications on your Apple Watch.
